Flipgrid

Flipgrid is a website and app that allows teachers to create "groups" for online discussions with students. Teachers can pose questions and students are able to respond with a video. Students are able to personalize their responses with filters, emojis, titles and a cover photo. Teachers and students are able to access this tool via their Alief ISD Google accounts.

To Create an Educator Account:

Go to www.flipgrid.com and select "Educator Sign Up"

Use your Alief ISD Google account (e.g. username@ga.aliefisd.net)

Click on "Create a Group" and a pop-up will appear

Groups allow participants to join a discussion with multiple Topics. Use private Groups for class discussions and public Groups for broader discussions.

Give your Group a name and choose how students will join (student email is easiest)

Students join using their Microsoft or Google school email. Families and guests can join the Group with a password. Anyone who joins can participate in all Topics.

This will default to our @ga.aliefisd.net emails

You may also choose to add a password if you would like

You may duplicate topics that you have used before once you have built some

Copy and share the Join Code, now Go to the Group to Add your Topic

This code can be embedded within Schoology
